Needles: US size 7 – 32” or size needed to achieve pattern gauge (for main sweater)
US size 7 – 16” or US 7 DPNs for sleeves
US size 5 – 32” or two sizes smaller than main needle (for waistband)
US size 5 – 16” or two sizes smaller than main needle (for cuffs)
Notions: Stitch markers (2 colors), cable needle, smooth waste yarn, darning needle, scissors, tape measure. Optional: knit keeper or magnetic board to manage chart)
GAUGE SWATCHES:
Please knit two gauge swatches, according to the pattern instructions (one in moss stitch, and one in Stockinette Stitch). Wash & block both swatches and bring these to the first class.
WORKING SWATCH:
Using waste yarn and appropriate sized needles, CO 20 sts and work in Stockinette Stitch for 11 rows and leave these sts on the needle. Bring this working swatch to every class for practicing various techniques.
