(11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17) Beyond the Basics: Knitting Techniques

Are you well-versed in the art of knitting and purling, yet eager to elevate your knitting prowess? Our class is designed to introduce you to exciting new techniques that will elevate your knitting projects without the need for a significant time investment. Explore the world of knitting through these charming and uncomplicated mug cozies, providing a low-pressure opportunity to experiment with fresh skills. This experience empowers you to assess your newfound abilities and decide if you're ready to tackle larger, more ambitious projects.

Schedule:
(11/12) Week 1: We will start by learning cables. This mug sleeve will also teach short rows and hidden seaming.
(11/19) Week 2: This next cozy is knit in a singular color yarn in lace. You will learn pattern reading and the basics of knitting lace. There are multiple lace patterns to choose from to make this cozy your own.
(12/3): Week 3: Choose your own stranded colorwork adventure- we have many motifs to choose from! You will not only learn stranded colorwork, but also venture into the wild world of steeking (cutting) your knit! (It's not THAT scary-promise.)
(12/10): Week 4: Intarsia colorwork. You will complete your new portfolio of knitting skills by learning how to do large blocks of color in intarsia by knitting a plaid motif. You can mix and match colors to get all sorts of different effects.
